At Doctors @ Sunnybank Hills, we are committed to providing the highest standard of medical care to our patients. Due to the failure of Medicare to keep pace with the cost of facilitating primary healthcare, and to maintain our excellent standards, a fee-for-service will be charged for consultations.
From 1st October, there will be an increase in fees for all standard consultations. We understand that fee changes can be challenging, and we want to reassure you that we have made every effort to keep this increase to a minimum.

As a mixed billing medical centre, we will continue to offer bulk billing for eligible patients and selected services. For all other consultations, payment is required on the day of your visit.

Bulk billing remains available for eligible patients and selected services.

Bulk Billing Eligibility:

• Age15 and under
• The following appointment types:
• GPCCMP & review of the plan
• Mental Health Care Plan & review of the plan
• Home Medication Review
• Government funded Immunizations
• National cancer Screening Program
• Only apply to Standard appointments

Eligibility for bulk billing is considered on an individual basis and will be determined at the discretion of our doctors and management team, taking account for your circumstances and care needs.

For concession card holders, a concession fee (out of pocket money) will apply for both standard appointment and long appointment.

Standard Appointment Policy (15 minutes)

For a 15-minute standard appointment, our doctors are able to manage:
• One major issue, or
• Up to two minor issues
If you have multiple concerns or more complex needs, please book a longer appointment or arrange another standard appointment on a different day that suits you. This ensures enough time for your doctor to provide thorough and safe care.

New Patient Appointment Policy

Welcome to our practice! To ensure we provide you with the highest standard of care, all new patients are required to book a long consultation (30 minutes) for their first appointment. This allows your doctor sufficient time to learn about your medical history, discuss your health concerns, and plan the most appropriate treatment.

An out-of-pocket (gap) fee of $70.00 applies for this initial consultation. This fee is payable at the time of making the appointment to secure your booking.
